A quote by James Comer, Associate Dean of Medicine and Professor of
Child Psychiatry at Yale University, explains it well: "No
significant learning occurs without a significant relationship."
The Extraordinary Learning Foundation is working to make all children
full members and participants in their classrooms. Our goal is to
help teachers accomplish learning through significant relationships.
We believe that each and every child has the talents, desires, and
abilities to be a successful learner and communicator.
Many, many parents have experienced difficulties and frustrations in
finding appropriate learning situations for their children. Many
teachers struggle to help these children using techniques that
"should" work, but that don't help the child like they'd hoped. There
are thousands of children, parents, and teachers, in America and world wide, that we believe
we can help.
We have been encouraged, by colleagues and families with whom we've
worked, to spread our powerful message to teachers, parents, and
professionals: extraordinary learning can happen when a
connection is made with a child, and when we tap into their natural,
inner abilities.
We need your help to do this.
Please consider sending a donation to our foundation. Your
contribution will help us reach these children by
supporting our Center, our publications, and our research.
